A Topical Conference Sponsored by the Microbeam Analysis Society to be held prior to Microscopy & Microanalysis '96
As the World Wide Web continues to rapidly expand into every part of our lives, this conference will focus on resources on the Web that are of use to microscopists and microanalysts. It will feature live presentations on the access of these resources and how they may best be used and tutorials on developing your own web pages. There also
will be time for attendees to have some hands-on experience. Aclassroom full of computers (a mixture of MS-DOS and Macintosh fully connected to the Internet will be available.
Although this pre-meeting topical conference is organized by the Microbeam Analysis Society, it is open to everyone, regardless of societal affiliation. It will be a full day, Saturday, August 10. Registration is separate, and information may be obtained from:

The computer workshop and software exchange will be operating during the entire meeting. Participants can view, discuss, and copy the more than 500 Mbytes of data, programs, and information in the libraries maintained by the Societies. Various live demonstrations of Telecommunications interfaces will be demonstrated during the Meeting.
There will be a halfday workshop for Minneapolis area teachers and microscopistvolunteers; interested registrants are very welcome. Learn how to present microscopy in your own school district.
