An Award consists of free Registration for the Meeting and a copy of the Proceedings. In addition, there is reimbursement for travel (within the continental U.S.) to Minneapolis and reimbursement for up to $250 for lodging and other expenses.
Applicants must be bona fide students at a recognized college or university at the time of the Meeting. Awards are based on the quality of the paper submitted for presentation at the Meeting. The applicant must be the first author of the submitted paper. The paper may not be submitted for poster presentation.
Successful applicants must present their papers personally at the Meeting in order to receive the Award. They are expected to attend and participate in the entire Meeting. Former winners are not eligible for another Award.
Applications consist of: ( I ) A completed Advance Registration Form. Payment for Student Registration must accompany the application (the fee will be refunded to successful applicants); (2) A supporting letter from a member of MSA, preferably a research advisor, attesting to the applicant's status; (3) A scientific paper forpresentation, as described elsewhere in thisRegistration Bulletin, accompanied by acompleted Data Form.
In order to be considered, applications must be received by March 15,1996. Applications will not be considered unless all three components specified above are received by the deadline. All applicants will be notified of the outcome by May 10.
The Awards consist of free Full Registration for the Meeting including a copy of the Proceedings and the Sunday evening social event. In addition MSA will reimburse awardees up to $500 for travel, lodging and other expenses. It is the intent of this award to stimulate attendance for those who ordinarily might not participate, and to encourage employers to support their staff in professional activities.
Applicants must have been fully paid- up members of MSA for 3 years prior to the time of the Meeting. Awards are based on the quality of the paper submitted for presentation at the Meeting. Abstracts will be judged by the MSA Technologists' Forum. The applicant must be the first author of the submitted paper.
There will be four awards, two in the Biological Sciences and two in the Physical Sciences. Successful applicants must present their papers personally at the Meeting in order to receive the Award. They are expected to attend and participate in the entire Meeting. Former winners will not be eligible for another Award.
Applications shall consist of: (I) A copy of the Abstract and Data Form to be sent to the Technologists' Forum Committee to be judged by a Deadline of March 1,1996. Judgment will be made and awarders notified to submit an original Abstract and Data Form by March I 5th. Those not receiving awards also will be notified in time to submit an Abstract and Data Form by March I 5th, if desired; (2) A supporting letter from the applicant's Employer, Manager or Supervisor, attesting to the applicant's status as a full- time, professional staff member.
